Speaker Bio: Irene Wanat is a former teacher with 35 years of extensive gardening knowledge. She has been an active Rutgers Master Gardener in Monmouth County and gardening educator in the Monmouth County Park System for over 20 years. Irene has also been a dedicated Rutgers Master Gardener in Ocean County for over 30 years. She keeps up-to-date absorbing herself in vast amounts of reading, conferences, and symposiums. Irene has considerable hands-on experience choosing new and traditional plants of all kinds for sale from quality nurseries for Master Gardener fundraising events.
