Tech Tuesday-Internet Safety Basics and Ask a Librarian In-Person
New to the internet? Learn the basics of staying safe from scams and fraud when you navigate websites, create passwords,and receive communication from potential fraudsters.
Participants will learn how to:
- Identify a secure website (i.e. a website that’s safe to create an account on).
- Employ two tips from the workshop to create a strong password that is easy to remember.
- Identify key factors in an email message that indicate a scam
Bring your computer questions for a a brief "ask a librarian" drop in session after class!
