Maple Sugaring At Poricy Park- Community Partnership Event:Registration Required In-Person
Our partnership with Poricy Park and Middletown Parks and Recreation allows us to offer this special event. Registration Required for all attendees
With cold nights and warm days, the later winter is the perfect time of year for maple sap in New Jersey. Join us at Poricy Park to learn why you can collect sap only during this time, how to identify maples and other trees in the winter, and how boiling increases solution concentrations to create syrup! Program includes science experiments, syrup sampling, and a short hike to check on tapped trees. Grades K-5. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Both children and their adult chaperones need to register in order to attend this program as space is limited.
