DESCRIPTION:Reading sessions will now be scheduled.  This will help cut 
 back on wait time as well as promote a quieter and calmer environment so 
 the children can focus on their reading and their turn with our furry 
 friends. It's important that we're courteous to each other. \n\nRead to a 
 Dog is a great way to improve the literacy skills of children.  It 
 encourages children to read by providing a non-judgmental listener in our 
 furry friends.  Independent readers in Grades K-5 will read to a certified 
 therapy dog for ten minutes. The therapy dogs and their owners are members 
 of Bright and Beautiful Therapy Dogs\, Inc.\n\nChildren can bring a book 
 they'd like to read to a dog or pick one out at the library. Each child 
 will read 5-10 minutes with a dog.The program will take place in the 
 children's quiet reading area. Registration is required.
