Adult Zining Workshop - Pamphlet Stitch and More: Bookbinding for Zines In-Person
Join us for this special workshop on bookbinding with Andrew Eason from the Monroe Township Library who will teach us how to create small booklets using bookbinding techniques. Registration is encouraged since space and supplies are limited.
Pronounced "zeen", zines are self-published by creators motivated to share knowledge, experiences, and opinions on a variety of topics. They can be any size and any length; they can be written, drawn or collaged; they empower the reader as well as the creator; they also never have to be shared with anyone else. Join our adult zining group to learn about zines, read a few, and try your hand at creating one or two - no "artistic" skills needed; all supplies provided. Upcoming adult zining workshops alternate each month between the 4th Wednesday at 1pm and the 4th Thursday at 6:30pm. Check the calendar for specific dates.
This program is part of the library's Community History Project, and was made possible by a grant from the New Jersey Council for the Humanities, a state partner of the National
Endowment for the Humanities.
