Poricy Park Fossil Hunt for ages 5-12 In-Person
Join us at Poircy Park for a Fossil Hunt! The Poricy Brook Fossils are from the Cretaceous period of the Mesozoic era, 145 to 65 million years ago! Take home your best finds to show off to friends and family! This event will be held at Poricy Park's Fossil Beds. Please only register your child for this program.
Please note the following for ALL participants:
- Boots/Old sneakers to wear in the fossil beds (a shallow stream). Because there is often glass in the beds, everyone should have shoes that won’t slip off easily.
- Bag for collecting fossils – ziplock recommended – put your name on it!
- Towel and change of shoes. Your feet will get wet!!
