Genealogy Club - Land Title Records with Joe Grabas In-Person

This month our special guest will be Joseph A. Grabas, author of Owning New Jersey: Historic Tales of War, Property Disputes and the Pursuit of Happiness, who will discuss Land Title Records and how they can help with genealogical research.

Joe Grabas holds the designation of Certified Title Professional and is designated as a National Title Professional by the American Land Title Association. One of the leading experts in historical land title research, he has searched, examined and insured over 100,000 land titles in 5 states and all 21 counties in New Jersey over the last 4 decades. He has pioneered the field in interpretive land records research and has been qualified as an expert in land title and real estate matters by the Superior Court of NJ.

Join our Genealogy Club where we discuss the strategies and techniques of researching your family tree, share tips on overcoming brick walls, lend support, and give encouragement. We'll focus on a particular topic for the first half and then open it up for discussion and questions. Beginners are encouraged to attend along with experienced genealogists. Bring your laptops and any resource material you may want to share. Co-sponsored by the Monmouth County Genealogy Society. In-person in the library's History Room.
